Artist’s Statement
“With each passing experience, I continue to reflect on, nurture, and refine what it means to be a Theatre Artist of quality and substance. As a Director, I have grown to understand how best to connect the work investigated on the stage to the complex realities of our greater world. I strive to challenge myself to explore different perspectives than my own. Diversity in casting and subject matter is critical for this process, as it is through our differences, we are able to explore our human commonalities. Each day I challenge myself to see the bigger picture on behalf of the theatre company I manage, and the actors and production team members I hire.” -- Kevin Connell
